Une École Pour Tous opened in July 2008. La Maison Montessori Kingston welcomes a community of children who are culturally diverse in their abilities, their interests, and their needs. Our curriculum is internationally recognized and has been implemented at numerous schools in Canada, the United States and throughout the world. La Maison Montessori Kingston is licensed by the Ministry of Education under the Day Nurseries Act.
At La Maison Montessori Kingston, all of our team members are certified in First Aid and Infant and Children’s CPR. We are passionate about our work with young children, and we will work together to ensure this new school year is rich in new interpersonal, creative and cultural experiences for the children. Working as a team, we will combine our skills and experiences through the Montessori method, to allow your child to develop to the best of his or her potential.
Tracy Bénéteau de laprairie
Ms. Tracy is the founder and director of Une École Pour Tous, now La Maison Montessori Kingston since January 2019. Tracy was born in Martinique and raised in France. She moved to Montreal where she worked as a Professor Montessori before moving to Kingston. In addition to her college studies in science, Tracy holds a Diploma from the Montessori International Association (AMI) for children aged 3 to 6 years and a Diploma of Educator of Young Children. She is also passionate about personal development and has a Diploma in Life Coaching and a Certificate in Psychology for Children and Adolescents. Ms. Kim is originally from Kingston and works at the Art Educator at MMK in the preschool class and as an Assistant Montessori. She has a degree in Arts and Sciences from Queen’s University and is currently training as Assistant Montessori for 3-6 years. Kim has been working with us ever since and is passionate about early childhood.
Ms. Mildred was born in El Salvador and has lived in Canada for 35 years. She has worked at La Maison Montessori Kingston since September 2017. Ms. Mildred started out as an Assistant with the preschool and now she is working as an assistant with the Toddlers. She enjoys working with children to whom she learns Spanish. Mildred is bilingual, French, Spanish.
Ms. Marine, is of French origin and has been working with us since May 2017 in the toddler class. She has her Diploma of Montessori Educator 0-3 years and she is completing her training as a child Development Practitioner. She has many years of experience working with children of all ages in France and abroad before really finding her place at the Maison Montessori Kingston. Working with children and supporting them in their development and well-being is a passion that motivates them every day.
Mr. Tim was born in France and grew up in Canada and more particularly in Kingston. He has been a member of La Maison Montessori Kingston for several years, starting with internships and homework management. He then completed training for the cook position before taking the assistant position in the preschool class, which allowed him to spend more time with the children. His joie de vivre and enthusiasm are very much appreciated by the group, especially with beautiful ideas for sports activities that delight small and large. Mr. Tim is training as an Assistant Montessori 3/6 years.
Mr. Chance has been a cook since August 2019. Born in Kingston he chose the opportunity to have a professional experience with the children and then start a study project of teacher of schools. His dynamism and natural gift to children make him an asset to the team. He was able to integrate and adapt, especially by making himself available to new children. Mr. Chance has also completed his training to work in the kitchen and is taking part in 3/6 year Montessori assistant training sessions.
